Sarah Hodges has spent the last decade as an entrepreneur and executive in high-growth consumer and enterprise companies.

Prior to Pillar, Sarah co-founded Intelligent.ly, a leadership development company that has transformed thousands of emerging leaders from companies, leaving an enduring impact on the Boston ecosystem.

Sarah has led Pillar’s investments in Hometap, Knox Financial, JobGet, Hellotickets and OnDeck. 

Sarah invests in enterprise and consumer companies on behalf of Pillar VC and leads the firm’s platform, supporting portfolio companies with access to mentorship, leadership development,talent and tactical insight.

Prior to Pillar, Sarah was a member of the executive team at Pluralsight (NASDAQ: PS), the world’s largest online learning community for IT, dev and creative training. Before joining the company, Sarah was a member of the executive team at Smarterer, a skill assessment platform powered by machine learning. At the company, Sarah led Marketing and Operations, and helped navigate the company through a successful acquisition in 2014.

Sarah has held additional leadership roles in early-stage startups including RunKeeper (sold to Asics) and Carbonite (CARB). She is on the board of the New England Venture Capital Association, and previously served on the board of BUILD.
